Whether strolling to the fine dining experience at The Barn restaurant, or rustic charms of the many café’s you will find that the McLaren Cottage is ideally located to enhance your enjoyment and experience of this area.

With four large bedrooms, two with en-suites, a separate family bathroom, large living area with modern open plan kitchen/diner, office and fitted laundry the McLaren Cottage can sleep up to 8 persons with plenty of room to move around the home and gardens.

Mclaren Cottage


Master Bedroom
Set in the original 1840’s part of the cottage with the original ceiling still in place, the master bedroom comes complete with its own ensuite toilet, shower and vanity. The bedroom has a Queen sized bed, with bed side draw units and reading lamps. It is also fitted with a sliding door wardrobe with full length mirror. Electric blanket with individual side controls is fitted to the bed.

Bedroom No2

This second ensuited bedroom again with its own toilet, shower and vanity is set in the newest part of the house and comes complete with a queen sized bed, bed side draw units with reading lamps, tallboy draw unit and full length mirror. Fitted with ceiling fan and Electric blanket(with individual side controls) to bed.

Bedroom No 3
The third bedroom set at the front of the house, comes with a queen sized bed, bed side draw units with reading lamps, tallboy draw unit and two mirrored sliding door wardrobe. Fitted with ceiling fan and wall mounted panel heater. Electric blanket with individual side controls fitted to bed.

Bedroom No 4
The fourth bedroom is also set in the front part of the house and is fitted with two single beds. These can be pushed together to make a fourth double. Or a single bed can be removed and a double bunk fitted for a nine berth configuration. This room also comes with bedside draw units with reading lamps and mirrored sliding door wardrobe. Fitted with ceiling fan and wall mounted panel heater. Beds fitted with Electric blankets.


Fully fitted kitchen with Fan Assisted oven, Ceramic Glass Cook top with extractor hood, Microwave, large Fridge/freezer, Dishwasher, Double sink with drainer and plenty of worktop and cupboard space. Overlooking the outside entertaining area the kitchen has a Puratap (mains water filter) and all the crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, glassware and kitchen accessories that should be required. Fitted with Ceiling fan.

Living Area

Complete with Two large three seater sofas and eight person dining table with chairs. A wood burning combustion heater (fire wood supplied) display cabinet and ceiling fan. Fitted with remote controlled TV and Blu-ray player with surround sound system.

Family Bathroom

A well appointed family bathroom with toilet, shower, vanity and full bath.


Spacious laundry area with front loading washing machine, deep laundry tub, ironing board and iron, storage cupboard and worktops. Rotary washing line fitted at rear of house.

Office Room
Office room with work desk and book case. External door leads out to decking and within the café-blinded entertaining area.

Outside Decking Area

Entertaining area on covered decking with outside table and chairs, outside sofa, 6 burner Barbeque and patio style gas heater. Two additional chairs and occasional table are located on the rear veranda. The outside entertaining area can fully enclosed by the use of retractable café blinds for use in all weathers.

Travel Cot, Infant High Chair and Baby Bath supplied

Grounds and Gardens

Almost an acre of grassed and tree covered garden with fenced, in- ground Salt water chlorinated swimming pool and Sun deck area with relaxation beds. Two car garage available if required. Off road parking for up to six to eight cars including covered carport area. Whole property is fenced with vehicle access gate set back off the road.

Heating and cooling is provided by an evaporative style cooling system or split system air conditioning, complimented by the Wood Burning fire in the main living area.
